Day 386 “You Name It”

Here’s a hint: He was a jazz guitarist and composer. Recording prolifically and almost exclusively for Blue Note Records, he performed in the hard bop, soul jazz, bebop and Latin-tinged idioms throughout his career.

1 Corinthians 15: 51-54
51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality. 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”
Much Love Family, R.I.P Uncle James, your light still shines within us.

Its said “True gentleness is founded on a sense of what we owe to him who made us and to the common nature which we all share. It arises from reflection on our own failings and wants, and from just views of the condition and duty of man. It is native feeling heightened and improved by principle”.

My uncle passed this morning. I hope our family finds some comfort in theses words, John 14:1-4 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”

This young lady asked me why I was shooting the man on the corner (Day 375) when there’s lovely women out here. She was right!
