Day 789 ” Revolution of Hope”

The Roxbury Youth Orchestra brings classical music to inner city youth through an intensive, joy-filled, conservatory level music program in the center of Roxbury, Dudley Square! They exist to transform the lives of these youth through the audacious vehicle of a symphony orchestra. Launched in the auditorium of the Dearborn Middle School the program has already achieved national attention appearing on the NBC Nightly News with Chelsea Clinton reporting!! Tonight I got to hear their amazing progress!!! More photo’s to come over the next few days. Amazing Night!!!

What a day! I attended my friend Neil Swidey “Trapped Under the Sea” book launch this afternoon. Not only did I get to see some old friends, I was able meet and have my book signed by three of the divers and Neil. For more information on the story give this Boston Globe article a read.

Tragedy beneath Boston Harbor

In 1999, two divers died deep in the nearly 10-mile-long Deer Island sewer tunnel. This selection from a new book follows the detective who investigated their fatal mission.

I also wanted to snuggle with the coat. You know…perhaps just my head on her shoulder and be comforted by the silken fur. No way do I condone the senseless slaughter of innocent animals so we can have fashion accessories….but on this cold New York night I could help but wonder how warm “Cruella” is. And let me not judge people by what they were or the look of disgust on ones…
